Drawing inspiration from the world around her, as well as from her love for nature and mythology, and adding a dusting of maximalism, our creations are the perfect balance between subtle and colourful making the jewellery pieces ideal for dressing up, and for dressing down.
Meet Naomi
Naomi is the designer and creator behind Lewla Lewla, who was first introduced to the wonderful world of beadweaving at the tender age of 7. She spent her afternoons carefully poring over the little beads and imagining all the colorful combinations together with her favourite aunt. Naomi's love and propensity to maximalism has continued to influence her creations, with various jewellery pieces drawing inspiration from nature, mythology, astrology, and more.
What’s in a name?
Lewla, meaning one bead in Maltese, while lewla lewla refers to the process of building and creating a jewellery piece slowly, bead by bead. Beadweaving is quite meditative by itself, therefore the name also refers to this side of the craft as well.
